“These children will need counselling, possibly for the rest of their lives”. Comments from Sandra Pringle, Director of The Rosa Counselling Trust, about a family of four children who witnessed horrendous violence in their home, ending with the tragic death of their mother
“One of the children has not spoken since the event” says Sandra. “The impact on these kids of the violence they’ve lived with is awful. They are traumatised, wary and mistrustful – although now living in a more secure family environment” Says Sandra of the work of The Rosa Counselling Trust “This year has been particularly busy with referrals far exceeding those of previous years. The cases, too, are much more complex. We are so grateful for the support of the Catholic Caring Foundation to our work – without funds we simply cannot meet the needs of the families in this community”
