Caring for Families with a difference
There are huge pressures on families today and even more so when a member of a family has a child with a physical or intellectual disability.
The North Shore Life Centre works with children who have a sibling with a disability.
As a result of a parent’s inability to focus on their other children, this can place an emotional strain on the entire family.
The Life Centre gives these kids time out of their home life and offers support, encouragement and education about why their brothers and sisters are the way they are.
Building caring families is at the heart of the Mission of the Catholic Caring Foundation. The Foundation gave $3000 to the Sensational Siblings Workshops.
